S-Video to scart



This lead gives you an S-Video connection on one end and a scart connection on the other.

The cable is directional so it can only be used when outputting S-Video from a video SOURCE (DVD etc) to a TV Scart connection.

The advantage of this is that only pins needed to send the S-video signal are connected on the scart lead, this means there is no chance of interference from other pins on the plug.

This lead should be used if you want the advantage of S-Video and your source (DVD etc) has an S-video connection but your TV only offers a scart connection.

Top tip


If you are wanting to output S-Video from your DVD play or another video appliance with an S-video connection make sure you purchase an S-Video to Scart, not a Scart to S-video as this is wired in the opposite direction and will not do the required job.
